Licensed Professional Counselor

Everyone faces challenges and struggles in this life, and I am passionate about equipping my clients with the tools that will help them create an emotionally healthy and hopeful life as they confront the challenges that come their way. As a therapist I want to always keep in mind the healing of the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.

After losing my mom to cancer, I realized the importance of the grief journey and having someone to walk beside you through the ups and downs. As a certified grief counselor, I understand that grief can come in many forms. I have experience working with clients going through grief after the death of a loved one, loss of a job/dream, addiction, anticipated grief, and many more.

I also work with clients dealing with a wide variety of other issues such as anxiety, depression, transitions and adjustments, parenting skills and identity development. As a former military wife, I understand those who spend a lot of time figuring out how to parent alone and can help navigate all those emotions that come with being a military partner.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Family Systems Theory, and Attachment Theory as well as other therapeutic modalities when working with clients. I am also trained in Prepare/Enrich Premarital Counseling as well as How We Love Attachment theory based premarital/marital counseling.

It is my goal to provide a nonjudgmental environment as the foundation for my clients to process past trauma, grief, and disappointments, and to offer tools that lead to a happier, more fulfilling life and future. At times, therapeutic intervention is helpful, and even necessary to get to a place of deep, lasting healing for past wounding that continues to affect life and relationships. I find great joy in helping clients find this hope and healing.
