Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

I felt called to become a counselor about 15 years ago, but we had three small children, and the timing was not right. We were also moving every 1-3 years, living all over the country and in Europe as an Air Force family, and I felt God urging me to wait for the right time. Recently, my husband retired from the Air Force after 23 years of service and I felt confirmation from the Lord to pursue this calling now. We have settled in Argyle, TX, and are over-joyed to be back in the great state of Texas and never leave again! I feel honored and humbled to be learning from the incredible team of therapists at Redeemed Life Counseling. What I have to offer as a student counselor is from the workings of God in my life, and by no means from anything I have accomplished or learned on my own.

As a mother of three teenagers, I am navigating raising them in the crazy times that we live in. This is very challenging, and I have much empathy for parents. God has taught me more than I ever dreamed He would with parenting. I have been married for over 20 years, so I know the work required in marriage. My time as an Air Force Spouse opened my eyes to the hurt and struggles so many are experiencing. I navigated different high-stress situations during deployments and have seen first-hand how debilitating anxiety can be. What I have to offer you is a safe place to share your story, without judgment. We will work collaboratively towards your goals and healing. It is an honor to hear your story. I am solution-oriented and look forward to working with you!

I attended Texas A&M for the first three years of college and then married my husband who was already a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force, and we were stationed at Langley AFB in Virginia. I finished my degree at Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in August 2024.

“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.” Micah 6:8
