The journey through life is uniquely our own and presents each of us with an array of distinctive experiences. We are all faced with transitions and challenges that present us with opportunities to grow, gain insight, heal and explore our personal potential. I am honored to meet you right where you are on your path, provide therapeutic support and find solutions that enable you to live a healthier, more fulfilling life. Collaboratively, we will work to cultivate new coping skills, reshape relationships, identify personal strengths and overcome ineffective behavioral patterns in efforts to achieve your personal goals.
I have a Bachelor degree in Family and Consumer Science from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Wesleyan University. I am family oriented and systemic in my approach and believe that when provided with the appropriate knowledge, tools and support, individuals have the capability to navigate any obstacle to create the life they desire. My experience ranges from working in the private practice setting, the educational arena, psychiatric hospitals and providing support to our military veterans, all first responders and their families.
I have worked with a wide variety of issues including but not limited to the following: Anxiety, Depression, Crisis/Trauma, PTSD, Relationship distress, Couple therapy including premarital and marital issues as well as remarried/blended family issues, Adolescent issues, Parenting issues, Divorce recovery including both adult and child adjustment, Grief/Loss, Self-harm and Addictions/Substance Abuse.
I work to provide a safe, non-judgmental, empathetic environment that will reveal the “difference that makes a difference” in each client’s life.
